GoProng is available for iPhone cases, while goprong is working on Android models. Their goal was to not bring a cable with them all the time.

Diane Bernard of FLM.tv joined the TPN CES Live Stream coverage. FLM helps independent companies be able to monetize their films. FLM helped out by working with social television so viewers can help with a second screen app.

FLM has full engagement in a view of a film. The party watch allows you to find out what people think. The cast could be sitting in front of web cams answering questions to those watching. With social networking options, you can chat with anyone or just your friends.

Integrating it with the technology allows creators to keep people focused on one area. That way they can get full reaction when people watch the TV show, short, or movie.

Fleksy replaces the stock keyboard and although it doesn’t have swipe technology, it does see how you press the screen. Fleksy technology has a predictive correction technology to correct errors.

If you need larger letters, or a specialized keyboard, this will help people with sight issues. The app is available on Android and iOS devices with a 30 day trial ($3.99 after).

AVG disrupted the anti-virus market years ago. But now we’re moving from desktops and laptops to tablets and smartphones. AVG has been changing their models to make the desktop last longer. But AVG is also getting into your social networks with the Family version.

AVG wants your family to be secure online. This app will allow you to suggest settings to your children and if they implemented. You can even control settings if needed.

The dashboard will have a green-amber-red light that will change when you need to be aware of something. If you have already reviewed the setting and decide not to take it, the light will turn green.

AVG also has a “Wifi – Do not Track” option, where you can block some of the data that companies collect when you don’t know it (where you walk in a store, where you stop and spend time, etc).

This software covers Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn. AVG will also give you an idea of what you are worth to these social networks.

FLIR Imager attached to a iPhone

flirFlir appeared at Showstoppers, a pre-CES show that helps to kick off the Las Vegas electronics show, and we caught up with them to see what was new. It turns out, the company now has a case for your iPhone that can work a bit of optical magic, transforming the handset into a thermal imaging device.

The product goes a bit beyond just thermal though, as it combines it with the visible spectrum to produce a nice high-quality image. There are a lot of features added to this, and the user can choose the type of image seen. This technology does come at a cost, though. Retail pricing is slated for $349, and the release is planned for this spring. You can head to Flir to find out more.

Livio talks about its apps for cars

livioLivio, a company recently acquired by Ford, produces apps designed to work in cars — a technology that Ford obviously has a great deal of interest in. If you aren’t familiar with the company, it produces a library and developers can use this within their apps, which can then interact with the software, also produced by Livio, that is installed in the car stereo system.

Livio discussed its plans for moving forward in 2014, which, despite its new owner, include plans for an open format that all can use. A standard that will work in Ford, GM and other autos. The proposed standardization would benefit everyone if the company can pull it off. You can learn more by watching the video below.

Vuzix-M100Of course, I wear Google Glass. Vuzix has their own wearable technology in the Vuzix M100 Smart Glass. Therefore, I had to see what their glass was all about.

Geared toward industrial or commercial use, the M100 can snap onto a pair of safety goggles so you can use them and stay protected. The M100 is an Android based wearable that can track events, scan product, take pictures and video, manage calendars, and much more.

Although I said the M100 works well for industrial, healthcare, retail and other use, it can also be used as a personal device, just like Glass is. Tether it to your phone to talk back and forth or just sync with Wifi.
