<itunes:summary>Be warned that this is not your normal andamp;quot;Tech Talkandamp;quot; episode. We have decided to essentially stop doing Tech Talk and begin a new show that is less about tech news and more about a bunch of geeks sitting down and talking about whatever comes up. As a result, this show is now explicit and is not appropriate for a sensitive audience. We are still working out what the new show will be called, and what the specific format will be. For a few episodes of Tech Talk, I have been recording our conversations before the show, in the middle break, and after the show. I edited the andamp;quot;goodandamp;quot; parts together and that is what you are getting in this episode. Think of it as a transition from the old format to the new format. Any feedback is appreciated, but whatever happens do not expect the old show format. Thanks for listening to Tech Talk, and we hope that you enjoy the new show.</itunes:summary>

Today’s Totally Cool Tech: The Pico Hand Held Projector by Optima (via Gizmodo)

Optoma is winning the race to build the world’s first pico-projector, the near-mythical mini projector that can throw up a display much larger than the source device’s

think iPods, digital cameras and smartphones

screen. Optoma’s pico will use the DLP chipset, support composite video quality and run on Li-ion batteries. The projector will make it to market later this year in Europe and Asia, before coming stateside in 2009. No word on pricing.

(-p-)(-strong -) (-/strong-)(-br /-)SLiME utilizes Fibro-Seal

technology to seal punctures either before or after they occur. Suspended within the trademark green liquid are either 100% fibers (inner tube formula) or a blend of fibers, rubber particles and other clotting agents (tubeless formula). Once installed in a tube or tire, SLiME sealants remain in a liquid state repairing tread area punctures from the inside out. As the tire rotates the sealant is forced to flow around the tread area creating a band of protection. When a puncture occurs, the escaping air forces the green liquid through the puncture, packing fibers and other clotting agents into the hole and preventing further air loss. SLiME is able to work time and time again repairing punctures when they occur.(-/p-)

(-p-)Itandamp;#8217;s a short show today.

I talked about how to properly store your computer when youandamp;#8217;re using it and when youandamp;#8217;re traveling a bit.

The biggest issues with computers overheating, the other topic of the day, was addressed with some tips for positioning your machine whether it is a desktop computer or a laptop.

Also, remember to always use the hibernate or shutdown feature so you donandamp;#8217;t ruin your hard drives!(-/p-)
